Android 4 4 KitKat Icon Pack for Samsung Galaxy Y GT S5360

For those of you who dont know, the Nexus 5 along with Android 4.4 Kit Kat have been released. Just days after that, the launcher was leaked but unfortunately it requires you to have an Android version of at least 4.1 and above.

A workaround for this would be to obtain the icons, make them into a flashable zip and then use them with a ICS/Jelly Bean look-a-like launcher. Knightly Ninja from xda-developers forums has already done that.
Just like any other icon pack, this one also simply replaces only the png files for the apps icons and does not replace the whole app

After trying this out on a TouchWiz launcher, the results werent that good but if you use a launcher such as Holo Launcher, you might get pleasant results. The icon pack is also offered in two versions. The first one has a few icons replaced, and the second version a bit more, with a little different style.
The icons replaced are not just the dock icons, but the Settings, Camera, My Files, Gallery, Calendar, etc.

Yesterday Google released a new Android Kit Kat 4.4.1 update for the Nexus 5 on improvements in the camera .Today this update is also available for Nexus LTE 4 and Nexus 7 2013.

It seems that beyond Google polishing operation has focused on the photographic section in this update. The Nexus 5hrs improved camera but the rest also see developments since the default gallery application is Google Photos .

Updated to Android 4.4.1 Manual

If we update without waiting for OTA (over the air) version we can do so by downloading the files from these links and following the manual:

The steps after downloading the zip file to include:

  • Install Android SDK.
  • Copy the downloaded file in the Platform-tools of Android SDK folder.
  • We connect the mobile or tablet to your computer via USB.
  • We turn off the device.
  • Simultaneously press the Volume Down button, volume up and power.
  • We choose the Recovery option (the volume keys are to move and power to select).
  • Press Volume Up and Power when we see an exclamation.
  • Seleccionamons apply update from adb.
  • From the command window (or the terminal) we write the command adb and then sideload the update name

Its another step you are taking to control Googles Android ecosystem. We did not miss that future versions of the app gallery as it has disappeared browser.
