Although it has been a few years since its first release, MADFINGERs Games greatest success is still one of the best RPG you shall try in Android so far. Its strongest point lies on its simplicity: you embody a samurai whose purpose is to free the region from a clan of dishonest samurai who pillage and plunder the local population.

Thus, this is one of those alone-against-the-World RPG. Your success will depend on how fast your fingers are on attacking your enemies and how keen youre of learning new tricks and using new weapons.

There are three basic game modes. "Game" which is the campaign mode: choose a level and start progressing through levels. "Dojo" which is a sort of endless mode: youre alone into a ring waiting for unlimited mob of enemies so, the more you kill the better score you get. Finally, theres a "Chapter" mode in which youll have to do some "quest". However, theyre all locked and youll have to unlock them by progressing in the game mode.

Its 3D graphics are simply great. However, thats not a burden to run it smoothly: were just amazed of how fluent its despite the amount of effects. Theres a screenpad to control the samurai: a joystick on the left side and attack buttons on the right side. The pad is quite intuitive, and the screentouch response better than we expected.

Addictive from the first time you launch it. Great graphics, smoothly performance, game modes and difficulty levels. What else do you expect from a RPG?

Thats the game: a strategy race in which you have to infect the more the better and evolve and change so any hidden lab cant find how to get rid of you and restore mankind its place as the dominant species on Earth. Meanwhile, governments will lock down airports and close borders, but you can always evolve into a stump air-transmitted, or spend your points in less obvious symptoms and be transmitted through birds or whatever.

A bike driving game

Highway Rider is about riding a bike on a highway while trying to dont kill yourself, which is pretty curious because a)the more reckless you are the more points you score; and b) people has taken the bad habit of parking in the shoulder without even turning warning lights on. Hopefully, one of the best features of this game are ragdoll physics and that you get a medical report when games over.

However, in a game that gives so much importance to physics, cones seem made of reinforced concrete, there isnt a single turn and drivers change lanes at random. In fugitive mode -far more fun than arcade mode- it isnt clear who chases whom.

There can be that this game, thanks to its overall simpleness and straightforwardness, is like by you. Then, know that there are six unlockable characters -two of them from Beyond- and that games free with adds between replays. Dont forget to tap on the left of the screen to show you off and make things more spectacular.

A driving game where run-overs give extra points

Carmageddon was one of the most polemic games ever, to the extent that some say that the poor image videogames have nowadays comes straight from that PC game released back in 19 97, when media worldwide echoed of how governments banned the game and pull it out from the shelves. In hindsight, we can say that it wasnt a so good game then, but it was fun, and players worldwide enjoyed playing something "forbidden". Whether people knew that it was brazenly inspired by a film premiered more than twenty years earlier (David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone, it aint chopped liver), the legend was born.

Sixteen years later, Carmageddon lands on Android in a complete different environment: there are umpteen similar games, physics and graphics have far evolved from those un-rendered 3D models, so there was only a way left to cut through the noise, this is, play the nostalgia and the controversy cards at the same time, and thats what we have here. Carmageddon is a mediocre racing or driving simulator game, because it isnt either of both. Its a game about chasing, crashing and hear the screams of enemies and passers-by alike. By the way, controls are smooth though your car hasnt to be so, dont forget to use the map (you can/should prowl anywhere, but there are checkpoints for a reason called "laps") and play with the replay, even when unfortunately there isnt a way to record your catches.

Therefore, its fun. It isnt children-friendly fun. It isnt even morally acceptable fun, and perhaps that is the true message behind this game then and now: to ask ourselves what fun is.
